When I first read that A-Rod was expecting to get paid $350 million, I was kinda just shocked cause it seems ridiculous that any individual player thinks he deserves that much money. It is much better to invest in a good team than one good player (the same could be argued for Kobe).
In a kind of interesting development though, this article has a rumor that the owners may just reject him straight up and put him back in his place! That's exactly what they need to do cause the baseball payroll stuff is outta control... they even have a word for it, "collusion"...
