A Different View on Life

While we enjoyed our Thanksgiving having fun, these individuals in different parts of the world continued their lives of misery...how much do we know about what is going on in the world around us? Are we even sensitive about it or do we ever think about it? During THANKSgiving, did we ever stop to be grateful for what we are so lucky to have?

Refugees from Darfur walk in a camp run by the NGO 'Eastern Chad' in Gaga. More than 17.000 Darfurians live in the camp.

Niru Begum's 80-year-old mother was killed when their house collapsed during the cyclone, in Bakerganj, Bangladesh.









Dangerous Work
A miner at the Moxinpo Colliery in Chongqing, China. According to state media, accidents in China's coal mines claimed over 5,000 lives each year, accounting for around 80 percent of the world's total deaths.
